From October 17-19, 2024, the World Trade Center in Manila was abuzz with creativity and innovation as the DTI Manila FAME event brought together the best of Philippine craftsmanship. This year’s showcase highlighted the OTOP Philippines MSMEs (One Town, One Product Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) who unveiled their finest creations in the realms of home, fashion, and lifestyle. The event was held at the Glorietta Activity Center and Palm Drive from Oct. 4 to 8, 2024, bringing together local entrepreneurs, farmers and producers to showcase the best Filipino food products.

The Project Eight Initiative is proud to announce the participation of Geeian “Ghie” Gambala, a dedicated mental health advocate, in the event titled “Fighting for Mental Health.” This significant gathering took place last Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the 3rd Floor Ramon Ang Auditorium, Henry Sy Sr. Building, University of the Philippines College of Medicine.

The Project Eight Initiative team made a prominent showing at the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) Expo 2024, which took place on July 4, 2024, at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City. This year’s exhibition, entitled “Reimagining A New and Inclusive Future,” presented a wonderful opportunity for groups focused on social responsibility and sustainable development to network and collaborate.

This event, held over five days from July 3 to 7, 2024 at the Megatrade Halls 1-3, 5th Level, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, was a grand showcase of the rich tapestry of Filipino flavors and culinary heritage.

The LIKHA 2024 exhibit, held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum 2 and 3 from June 7-11, 2024, was a vibrant celebration of Filipino artistry and innovation. THE Philippine Horticulture and Urban Agriculture Summit, a project of The Department of Agriculture (DAR) dubbed “Pagsibol 2024,” recently unfolded as a beacon of hope and innovation in the realm of agriculture. Among the attendees was Rene “Rhen” Dimaano, the esteemed Project Lead for Agriculture at Project Eight Initiatives. Dimaano’s presence not only marked a commitment to agricultural advancement but also served as a testament to the organization’s dedication to fostering sustainable agricultural practices.

On April 21, 2024, the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, bore witness to an extraordinary display of unity and advocacy as nearly 22,000 individuals came together for the Angels Walk for Autism event. Among the multitude of participants were the Project Eight Initiative, a group embarking on their inaugural attendance at the event. Marking a significant milestone in their commitment to the autism awareness cause. Their presence underscored the swelling momentum behind the movement, as they joined hands with thousands to demonstrate solidarity and compassion for individuals with ASD and their families.
